Client Guidebook
The guidebook covers what your days at SPR Detox actually look like, from the daily schedule to phone and visitor policies (these vary by program). You will find how to work with your case manager and how your family stays involved. Read it before you arrive so nothing catches you off guard.
Client Guidebook, The Details
The first few days at SPR Detox follow a set routine, and knowing what to expect makes the adjustment easier. You wake, eat meals at scheduled times, meet with clinical staff, attend group sessions, and get downtime built into the day. The structure is intentional. It keeps your body and mind steady while the hardest part of detox passes.
Phone and visitor access depend on which program you are in. Early detox usually limits phone use so you can focus on stabilizing. As you move forward, that access opens up. Ask your case manager for the exact rules on your program.
Your case manager is your main point of contact. Bring them your questions about treatment, discharge planning, insurance, and anything that feels unclear.
Families stay involved in ways that respect your privacy and your consent. That can include:
- Scheduled family calls or visits once your program allows them
- Updates shared with people you have authorized in writing
- Guidance on how to support you without taking on the recovery for you
If something confuses you, ask. Nobody expects you to figure this out alone.
